Question Everything

A call to dissolve the lies we mistake for truth. Why do we fear the questions that could free us?

The saying "question everything" has always resonated with me. Yet today, we either get instant answers or cherry-pick the ones that feel right. Over time, our perspectives shift—sometimes dramatically—as we uncover deeper truths.

The real work begins when a question spawns more questions, demanding clarity. But this is where most stop. "I can’t be arsed," they say, or dismiss it as "too deep." So we settle for vague beliefs, haunted by the sense that something’s off.

Truth-seeking is like shedding skin—unsettling for a mind conditioned by preconceptions. We cling to false narratives, then wonder why reality feels distant. Like actors in a play, we perform from outdated scripts, mistaking coping mechanisms for truth.

Our defenses guard us, and language often fails to capture what emotions whisper. It can take years of reflection to arrive at an undiluted answer—one free from stories, biases, or comfort.

Hard truths are only hard when viewed through the lens of ego and conditioning. Clarity emerges when heart and mind balance, cutting through the noise. Then, possibility expands, and questions deepen—like trading black-and-white certainty for a spectrum of color and meaning.

This, I think, is why AI can never replicate human experience. It’s a tool, not a replacement. Our digitized world prioritizes logic and data, eroding the messy, profound wisdom only a human heart can grasp.

It’s almost amusing how AI chatbots tag responses with "may be inaccurate"—as if truth is binary. But perception is subjective: to a colorblind person, green is blue. Yet we pathologize those who feel "too much" or "not enough," molding them into societal norms.

Like monks exploring different spiritual paths, we often seek truth within our programming rather than through the "wise mind"—the harmony of heart and intellect. Yet within us all lies the potential for pure clarity. Suffering, in its cruel way, strips away illusions, leaving only the soul’s unfiltered truth.

Whatever walls stand in our way, only we can break them down—if not in this life, then another. The right questions don’t just lead to answers; they transform how we experience ourselves and the world.
